Since 2008 MAGICARCH is an international architecture office, designing projects mainly in Europe and Asia. MAGICARCH main goal is to envision the Architecture as the opportunity to sophistically respond. To answer with enough complexity the main challenges of contemporary cities: involving the velocity changes and networking design; caring of antropocene and capitalocene controversies, and understanding the history for future scenarios. The specialized field of the office is focused in the value of the atmospherical design, concerning different Ecological scales of design and visualizing new ways to understand the City and the Domesticity scenarios.

19 architecture designs of MAGICARCH  have been awarded in Architecture Competitions such as: shortlisted XIII BEAU Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennale 2016, finalist at Inspirelli Awards 2017,  shortlisted at ONE PRIZE in New York in 2011 and ONE PRIZE in New York 2014,FIRST PRIZE in Altres Pessebres COAC Competition 2012,  Selection for the III Biennale of Spanish Architecture in 2008, the FIRST PRIZE in the IV Architecture Competition SCHINDLER 2007, the Education Award for Young Entrepreneurs of the Valencia Government 2009 .

Maria Jose Marcos is leading her own Architecture Office MAGICARCH and  she is Professor of Architecture Design since 2008, in different Universities worldwide. She is consultant of international architecture, being jury of several Architecture Awards. Furthermore she has been giving lectures in cities such as London, Athens, Seoul, Barcelona, Quito, Yokohama, Shenzen, Madrid, Ljibuana, Shanghai, Istambul or Nicosia.


Nowadays she is Professor at University of Alicante, Alicante. She was visiting teacher at Architectural Association School of Architecture, London; Assistant professor at Iñaki Abalos Unit ETSAM, Madrid; Assistant professor at Soongsil University, Seoul;  Visiting teacher at  ESARQ International University of Catalonia, Barcelona.  She is architect by University of Alicante in 2008, her Final Thesis  was the first thesis with Honors of University of Alicante and named  ‘MECANISMOS DE PROCUCCIÓN ARQUITECTÓNICA EN AMSTERDAM, VENECIA Y MANHATTAN’ awarded in Spanish Bienal. She is Master.Arch II in Advanced Architecture Design by ETSAM Madrid.


She has been consultant of international architecture,  advising and writing more than 120 articles,  at specialized magazines and blogs such as ‘DOMUS’, ‘Neo2’ ‘A10 New European Architecture’, ‘Abitare’ and ‘Mark‘ magazines or ‘edgargonzalez’ blog. She has curated and exhibit her works in exhibitions and events worldwide at the  XIII Venice Architecture Biennale –Italy- (2012), Contemporary Art Centre La Conservera in Murcia -Spain- (2012), International Festival of Sustainable Actions SOS4.8 in Murcia -Spain-(2012), Official Architects Association of Murcia -Spain- (2012), Official Architects Association of Alicante -Spain- (2012), or Founder of the Oriente > Architecture Gallery in Murcia, the first architecture gallery in Spain.
